Me and Maria Viana

Maria Viana is one of the most important Jazz voices in Portugal and is celebrating her 30 years of Jazz singing.
I met her on the evening of March 20th, at Rádio Europa Lisboa during a radio show as a tribute to her. I’ll never forget how happy she was and the way she hugged me, and how nervous I felt!! That evening I also met Maria Anadon, João Moreira dos Santos and Barros Veloso at the show presented by Ricardo Belo de Morais.
Not even a week after I went to see Maria Viana at Centro Cultural Malaposta and she invited me to sing Summertime, right there, as a surprise, nothing planned.
I felt so proud being a part of the evening and being on stage with her, João Maló and José Soares.
I thank her from my heart!
